Addiction Treatment and Pain Medicine Team
We have assembled a highly-qualified team for the provision of
medical and supportive addiction treatment / addiction medicine on an
outpatient basis in Charlotte, NC. This team also provides innovative
and highly effective pain medicine at the leading edge of medical
research.
Neal Taub, MD
Dr. Taub is currently board certified in pain management, addiction
medication, electrodiagnostic medicine, and physical &
rehabilitative medicine.
Dr. Taub oversees medical treatments for addiction, behavioral health,
and pain medicine. Dr. Taub recognized a need in Charlotte for addiction
treatment plans that address the medical / biological components of
addiction as well as quality counseling. He also found that there we
advancements in science being neglected by mainstream medicine -
advancements that could help a significant portion of patients who were
not getting success from first-line treatments. Therefore, Dr. Taub
turned his private pain medicine practice into The Taub Group, so that
he could make quality, comprehensive addiction and behavioral health
treatments more accessible for people in our region.
Dr. Taub graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California -
San Diego. He received his medical degree in 1987 from Baylor College of
Medicine in Houston, TX.
Dr. Taub has long served as a respected member of the medical community.
He has been invited to publish and/or present his work on more than 15
occasions at meetings such as the American Congress of Rehabilitation
Medicine and the Association of Academic Physiatrists.
In addition to serving as the Medical Director for CMC - Mercy
Rehabilitation Center from 1992 to 2008, Dr. Taub has worked as a
Medical Director at Meadowhaven Rehab and Specialty Care Center and as
the Medical Director for American Transitional Care.
His honors and distinctions include the 1987 award of P/SL Foundation
Grant for medical research and the 1987 Lewis Leavitt Award for Physical
Medicine Rehabilitation. Dr. Taub is certified by the American Board of
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
